Rule of Gender Agreement (Concordancia de Género) Adjective ending must match the noun's gender. If noun is masculine (-o), adjective ends in -o. If noun is feminine (-a), adjective ends in -a. Use this rule to make your descriptions sound correct. Look at the noun first. For example, 'libro' is masculine, so we say 'libro rojo'. 'Mesa' is feminine, so we say 'mesa roja'.
