Example 1 — Carbs: The Energy Givers

Think of carbohydrates as your body's main gas station. They give you the quick energy you need to run, jump, and even just focus in class.Where to find them:Complex Carbs (Long-lasting energy): Whole-wheat bread, oatmeal, brown rice, fruits, and vegetables.Simple Carbs (Quick burst of energy): Candy, soda, white bread. These are okay sometimes, but they can lead to a 'sugar crash'.When you need them most: Before playing sports or when you need a quick brain boost for a test!
