What & Why
Catching on the go means using your hands to catch an object, like a ball or a beanbag, while your feet are moving. It's a super skill because it combines two things at once: moving and catching! Why is it important? It helps you play games better, be a great teammate, and improves your hand-eye coordination, which is how your brain, eyes, and hands work together as a team.

Example 1 — Running Tag
Imagine you're playing tag, but with a soft foam ball. The person who is 'It' has to toss the ball and have it touch you.The person who is 'It' jogs after you.Instead of tagging you with their hand, they toss the ball gently towards you.Your job is to run away, but also watch the ball over your shoulder. If you can catch it before it touches you, you're safe! This practices catching while moving away from the thrower.

Example 2 — Soccer Goalie Dash
Pretend you're the goalie in a soccer game. The other team takes a shot, but it's not very fast and it's rolling towards the corner of the goal. You see the ball rolling away from the center. You have to run towards the ball to get to it before an opponent does.As you get close, you bend your knees, get low, and scoop the ball up with your hands. This is catching on the go while moving towards the object.
