Why Make a Plan?A personal fitness plan helps you set clear goals and a path to reach them. It keeps you motivated, ensures you're working out safely and effectively, and helps you build healthy habits that last. We'll use two key tools:S.M.A.R.T. Goals: This framework helps you create goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.The F.I.T.T. Principle: This guides how you structure your workouts. It stands for Frequency (how often), Intensity (how hard), Time (how long), and Type (what kind of exercise).

Example 1 — Maria's Cardio Goal

Maria wants to improve her running endurance for the school's charity 5k run in two months.Set a S.M.A.R.T. Goal: Maria's goal is: "I will be able to run 5 kilometers without stopping in 8 weeks by following a training plan." This is Specific (run 5k), Measurable (5k distance), Achievable (8 weeks is a reasonable timeframe), Relevant (for the charity run), and Time-bound (in 8 weeks).Apply the F.I.T.T. This is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant to his goal, and Time-bound.Apply the F.I.T.T.
