Hi friends! This lesson helps us learn how our bodies give us clues about our feelings. Noticing these clues helps us understand what we need and how to share it with others.

Did you know that feelings don't just happen in your mind? You can feel them in your body, too! We call these body clues.For example, when you're excited, your heart might beat super fast. When you're worried, your tummy might feel funny. Learning to notice these clues helps us figure out exactly what we are feeling so we can talk about it or ask for help.

Example 1 — Excited

Imagine your grown-up says you are going to the playground right now! How does your body feel?Your heart might beat fast like a little drum.You might get a huge smile on your face that you can't hide.You might feel bouncy and want to jump up and down!These are your body's clues that you are feeling excited and happy.

Example 2 — Sad

Imagine you built a big, beautiful tower with your blocks, and then it accidentally fell over. How might your body feel?Your eyes might get watery and make tears.Your shoulders might droop down and your body might feel heavy.You might not feel like talking or playing.These are your body's clues that you are feeling sad or disappointed.
