What & Why
Jumping and hopping are fun ways to move your body from one place to another. Jumping uses two feet to push off the ground and land. Hopping uses just one foot! Doing these moves helps make our leg muscles super strong and improves our balance so we don't wobble.

Example 1 — Frog Jumps
Let's be a frog! Frogs are amazing jumpers.Start by squatting down low, like a frog ready to leap. Put your hands on the floor between your feet.Look forward and get ready.PUSH! Push off the ground with both of your powerful frog legs and jump forward.Land softly on two feet, bending your knees to be quiet and safe. Ribbit!

Example 2 — Bunny Hops
Now, let's be a quick little bunny!Stand with your feet together. You can put your hands up like bunny ears or keep them by your sides.Bend your knees just a little bit.Take small, quick jumps forward, keeping your feet together.Try to be a quiet bunny by landing softly on the balls of your feet. Boing, boing!
