Grammar Rules & Patterns

Using 'ser' for Responsibility [Person/Subject] + es/son + responsable(s) Use the verb 'ser' (to be) to state who is responsible. Responsibility is seen as a characteristic or role. Use 'es' for one person and 'son' for more than one. Asking 'Who?' - ¿Quién? ¿Quién + [verbo conjugado] + ...? To ask who is responsible or who did an action, always start your question with '¿Quién?'. If you think it might be more than one person, you can use '¿Quiénes?'.
