Using 'Tengo' Yo + tengo + [number] + [body part] To say that you have a certain body part, always start with 'Yo tengo' or just 'Tengo'. 'Yo' means 'I' and 'tengo' means 'have'. Adjective Placement Noun + Adjective In Spanish, descriptive adjectives almost always go AFTER the noun. Think 'eyes blue' instead of 'blue eyes'. Gender and Number Agreement El/Los (masculine) and La/Las (feminine) Every noun has a gender. Nouns ending in -o are usually masculine, and nouns ending in -a are usually feminine.
