Grammar Rules & Patterns

Using 'en' for Location en + el / la + [room] To say something is *in* a room, use 'en'. Use 'la' for feminine words (cocina, sala). Use 'el' for masculine words (jardín, comedor). Asking 'Where?' - ¿Dónde? ¿Dónde + está + [person/thing]? Use this question to ask for the location of one person or thing. 'Está' means 'is'. Simple Action Verbs Yo como (I eat), Tú comes (You eat) Verbs change based on who is doing the action. For parties, we use verbs like comer (to eat), jugar (to play), and bailar (to dance).
