Like Learning to Read a Book
Think about learning to read. First, you learn your ABCs. Then, you put them together to make words. Physical literacy is just like that, but for moving your body! It means learning basic movements like running, jumping, and throwing, so you can put them together to play games and sports.

Physical literacy is all about confidence. When you feel sure about how your body moves, you are more likely to try new things, like joining a game of tag or learning to ride a scooter. It’s the happy feeling you get when you know you can try your best.

Practice Makes Progress
Nobody is born knowing how to kick a soccer ball or swim in a pool. These are skills we build over time. The more you practice moving your body in different ways, the better and more comfortable you will feel. It's okay to wobble or miss — that's how we learn!
