Example 1 — Basketball Dribble Walk

Let's practice dribbling a basketball while walking. It's all about rhythm!Get Ready: Stand with your knees slightly bent.Fingertip Control: Push the ball down towards the ground using your fingertips, not the palm of your hand. Your wrist and fingers do the work.Waist High: Let the ball bounce up to about your waist. Don't let it go higher!Start Walking: As you walk forward, push the ball slightly ahead of you so you can walk into it. Try to get a rhythm: step, bounce, step, bounce.Look Up: Try to look forward, not down at the ball. This is tricky but very important!

Example 2 — Soccer Dribble Jog

Now let's try dribbling a soccer ball with our feet while jogging. This is about soft touches.Get Ready: Start by walking with the soccer ball right in front of you.Gentle Taps: Use the inside of your foot to gently tap the ball forward. Don't kick it hard!Keep it Close: The ball should stay close to your feet, like it's attached by a short, invisible string. This gives you control.Start Jogging: As you get comfortable, pick up your speed to a slow jog. You'll need to tap the ball a little more often.Look Up: Just like with basketball, practice looking up to see where you're going.
