Taking turns means we wait for our chance to play. Sharing means we let others use the toys or equipment we are using.We do this so everyone feels included and the game is fair for all our friends!

Example 1 — The Swing Set

Leo is on the swing, and Maya wants to play.Maya walks over and asks nicely, "Can I have a turn when you're done, please?"Leo smiles and says, "Sure! I'll count to 20 and then it's your turn."Leo counts out loud, then hops off the swing.Maya says "Thank you!" and gets on the swing. Now they are both happy!

Example 2 — Building with Blocks

A group of friends wants to build with blocks, but there are only a few red ones.Everyone wants the red blocks for their tower.Instead of grabbing, they decide to share.Sam says, "Let's each take three red blocks to start."They all agree and build their own small towers next to each other, making a cool block city together!
