The 'Es la una' Rule
Use 'Es la una' ONLY for 1 o'clock.
One o'clock is special! It's just one. So we use 'Es la una'. Think of one apple. 🍎
The 'Son las...' Rule
Use 'Son las...' for hours 2 through 10.
For two or more hours, we use 'Son las...'. Think of many apples. 🍎🍎🍎
The Question Rule
To ask the time, always say '¿Qué hora es?'.
This is the magic phrase to ask anyone for the time. It never changes.
