Preterite Endings for Regular -ER Verbs
To conjugate regular -ER verbs in the preterite, remove the -er ending and add these endings to the stem:
- yo: -í
- tú: -iste
- él/ella/usted: -ió
- nosotros/nosotras: -imos
- vosotros/vosotras: -isteis
- ellos/ellas/ustedes: -ieron
These endings are used for all regular verbs ending in -er to describe actions completed in the past. Notice the accent marks on 'yo' and 'él/ella/usted' forms.
