Imperfect Tense: Regular -AR Verb Endings Stem + [-aba, -abas, -aba, -ábamos, -aban] For any regular verb ending in -ar, remove the -ar and add the correct ending based on the subject. For example, 'cantar' becomes 'yo cantaba', 'tú cantabas', 'él/ella/usted cantaba', 'nosotros cantábamos', 'ellos/ellas/ustedes cantaban'. Imperfect Tense: Regular -ER and -IR Verb Endings Stem + [-ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -ían] For any regular verb ending in -er or -ir, remove the ending and add the correct new ending.
