The Location Formula [Thing] + [form of ESTAR] + [preposition] + [the] + [Place]. To say where something is, always follow this pattern. Start with the object, use 'está' or 'están', add the preposition, and then say the location. Estar: 'está' vs. 'están' Use 'está' for one object (singular). Use 'están' for two or more objects (plural). The verb 'estar' must agree with how many objects you are talking about. Think: 'está' has one 'a' for one thing. 'están' is longer for more things. Prepositions with 'de' Some prepositions are two or three words, like 'debajo de', 'al lado de', and 'dentro de'. Never forget the 'de'!...
