Grammar Rules & Patterns

The 'Yo' Form of -ER Verbs Drop the '-er' ending and add '-o'. When you want to say 'I' do something, like 'I eat' or 'I drink', you change the end of the verb. For verbs ending in -er, like 'comer' and 'beber', you take off the -er and add an -o. 'Comer' becomes 'como'. 'Beber' becomes 'bebo'. Adjective Agreement (Gender) Adjectives must match the gender of the noun. Masculine nouns (el) use adjectives ending in -o. Feminine nouns (la) use adjectives ending in -a.
