Describe small ways anyone can lead a team.

Tutorial Preview

1

What is a Leader?

What do you think of when you hear the word 'leader'? You might think of a team captain or the oldest player. But a leader is anyone who helps their team be its best, and that means anyone can be a leader, including you!
2

Lead with Effort

One of the best ways to lead is by example. When you always try your best in practices and games, it encourages your teammates to do the same. This could mean running hard to the finish line or always listening when the coach is talking.
3

Lead by Helping

Leaders are helpers. They look for small ways to support their teammates. You can lead by giving a high-five to someone who tried hard, helping a teammate who fell down, or saying "good job!" to everyone after a game, win or lose.
