What & Why

Cooperative games are games where everyone plays together on the same team. The goal isn't to beat your friends, but to work together to win as a group! In 'Keep the Balloon Up!', our whole team wins if we can keep the balloon from touching the floor. It's fun because we have to talk, move, and help each other.

Example 1 — The Basic Tap

Let's play with a few friends!Stand in a small circle with 3 or 4 friends. One person gently taps the balloon up into the air.Someone else moves under it and taps it up again.Keep tapping it to each other. Remember, the floor is lava! Don't let the balloon touch it.

Example 2 — Call a Name

Let's add a fun twist to make us better teammates!Start the game just like before. This time, when you tap the balloon, call out the name of a friend in the circle. The friend whose name you called has to tap it next! This helps us make sure everyone gets a turn and we know who is going for the balloon.
