A safe play space is a place where you can run, jump, and have fun without worrying about getting hurt. Example 1 — The Playground
A playground is built just for kids to play safely!Look for:Soft ground like wood chips, sand, or rubber mats.Swings, slides, and climbers that are not broken.A grown-up who is watching you play.Avoid:Playing on wet or broken equipment.Running in front of the swings.

Example 2 — A Backyard or Park
Your own backyard or a nearby park can be a wonderful place for games!Look for:A fence to keep you safely inside (in a yard).Clear, open space with soft grass.A grown-up who knows you are playing there.Avoid:Playing near garden tools, a grill, or a busy street.Chasing a ball if it rolls out of the safe area.
