Grammar Rules & Patterns

Regular Preterite Endings -AR verbs: -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron. -ER/-IR verbs: -í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -isteis, -ieron. To conjugate regular verbs in the preterite, remove the -AR, -ER, or -IR ending from the infinitive and add the corresponding preterite ending. Remember the accent marks! Common Irregular Preterite Verbs (Ir/Ser, Hacer, Ver, Dar) Ir/Ser: fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos, fuisteis, fueron. Hacer: hice, hiciste, hizo, hicimos, hicisteis, hicieron.
