Grammar Rules & Patterns

Conjugación Regular del Pretérito -AR verbs: -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron. -ER/-IR verbs: -í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -isteis, -ieron. Use these endings for most verbs to describe a completed action in the past. Remember the accent marks are crucial! Verbos Irregulares 'Ser' y 'Ir' en Pretérito Both 'ser' (to be) and 'ir' (to go) conjugate identically in the preterite: fui, fuiste, fue, fuimos, fuisteis, fueron. The context of the sentence will tell you if it means 'was' or 'went'. These are very common in travel stories.
