Polite Requests with 'Quisiera' / 'Me gustaría'
Quisiera [infinitive/noun]... or Me gustaría [infinitive/noun]...
Use these conditional forms to make polite requests or express desires. They are much softer and more courteous than 'Quiero...' (I want...), which can sound demanding in Spanish. Essential for good 'relaciones' in a restaurant.
Preterite Tense for Completed Actions
Regular -AR verbs: -é, -aste, -ó, -amos, -asteis, -aron. Regular -ER/-IR verbs: -í, -iste, -ió, -imos, -isteis, -ieron. (Also common irregulars like 'fui', 'hice', 'tuve', 'pedí', 'sirvió').
