The Near Future Formula: ir + a + infinitive Subject + (conjugated form of 'ir') + a + (infinitive verb) This is the fundamental pattern for talking about future plans. First, conjugate the verb 'ir' to match your subject. Then, add the word 'a'. Finally, add the main action verb in its original infinitive form (-ar, -er, -ir). Pronoun Placement with the Near Future Pronouns (reflexive or direct object) can go in two places: 1) Before the conjugated verb 'ir'. 2) Attached to the end of the infinitive. When your plan involves a reflexive verb (like 'levantarse') or a direct object pronoun (like 'lo'), you have two choices for where to put the pronoun.
