The Six Indirect Object Pronouns
me (to/for me)
te (to/for you, fam.)
le (to/for him, her, you, form.)
nos (to/for us)
os (to/for you all, fam.)
les (to/for them, you all, form.)
These are the only six pronouns you need to know. Memorize which pronoun matches which person.
Placement Rule: Before the Conjugated Verb
Subject + IOP + Conjugated Verb + Rest of Sentence
The indirect object pronoun almost always goes directly before the main, conjugated verb. It 'hugs' the verb from the front.
The 'Le/Les' Clarification Rule
Use 'a + person' to clarify 'le' or 'les'.
