Grammar Rules & Patterns

Rule 1: Before a Conjugated Verb Pronombre + Verbo Conjugado This is the most common rule. When you have one verb and it's conjugated, the direct object pronoun always goes right before it. Rule 2: Attached to an Infinitive Verbo Conjugado + Infinitivo-Pronombre When you have a sentence with two verbs, like 'I am going to eat,' the pronoun can be attached directly to the end of the infinitive verb (the one ending in -ar, -er, or -ir).
