Grammar Rules & Patterns
Adjective Agreement with Clothing
Adjective endings must match the gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular/plural) of the noun (clothing item).
When you describe a piece of clothing with a color, the color word must change to match. For feminine nouns like 'la camisa', use '-a' (roja). For masculine nouns like 'el suéter', use '-o' (rojo). If the item is plural, add an '-s' (rojas, rojos).
Conjugating 'Comprar' (to buy)
Yo compro, Tú compras, Él/Ella/Usted compra
Just like other -AR verbs, you remove the -AR and add the correct ending for who is doing the buying. 'Yo' (I) ends in -o, 'Tú' (you) ends in -as, and 'Él/Ella' (he/she) ends in -a.
