Adjective Agreement (Gender) Adjectives must match the gender (masculine or feminine) of the noun they describe. Masculine adjectives often end in -o, and feminine adjectives often end in -a. When you describe a piece of clothing, look at its noun. If the noun is feminine (like 'la camisa'), the color must also be feminine ('roja').
