Raíz + [-aba, -abas, -aba, -ábamos, -abais, -aban]
For any regular -ar verb, remove the -ar to find the stem. Then, add the appropriate imperfect ending based on the subject. Note the written accent on the 'nosotros' form: -ábamos.

For any regular -er or -ir verb, remove the infinitive ending to find the stem. Then, add the appropriate imperfect ending. Note that -er and -ir verbs share the exact same endings, and every ending has a written accent on the 'í'.
