One-to-One Counting Rule
Touch and Say 1 Number for 1 Shape
When you count, touch each shape only one time. Say one number for each shape you touch. This helps you not to miss any or count one twice!
Finding the Total Rule
Total = Group 1 + Group 2
To find the total number of shapes, count one group first. Then, count the second group. Add the two numbers together. For example, Total Shapes = Number of π΅ + Number of π₯.
