Key Rules & Conventions

The 'S' Rule for ONE Singular Subject (one) + Verb with -s When the subject is just ONE thing, the verb usually gets an 's' at the end. The 'No S' Rule for MANY Plural Subject (many) + Verb with no -s When the subject is MORE THAN ONE, the verb usually does not get an 's'. The Special 'I' and 'You' Rule 'I' or 'You' + Verb with no -s The words 'I' and 'You' are special! They always use a verb with no 's', just like plural subjects.
