The 'What Kind' Question Ask: Does this word tell me a color, size, shape, or feeling? If the answer is yes, it's a 'what kind' adjective. It describes the noun. The 'How Many' Question Ask: Is this word a number? If the answer is yes, it's a 'how many' adjective. It counts the noun. The Word Order Rule Adjectives usually come right before the noun they describe. Look for the describing word just before the person, place, or thing.
