The Field is Your Playground
Imagine the soccer field is a giant game board. "Space" is any empty square where there are no other players. Finding and moving into these empty spaces is a superpower in soccer because it gives you time to get the ball and decide what to do next.
2
Don't Bunch Up!
Have you ever seen a group of players all chasing the ball at once? This is called bunching up, and it makes it easy for the other team to defend. When your team "spreads out," you cover more of the field and create open lanes for passing.
3
Being a Great Teammate
Good positioning means your teammate with the ball can see you and pass to you easily. This is called creating a "support angle." Think of it like making a triangle with your teammate and a defender. By being in an open space, you give your teammate a safe option.
