1

Food Is Your Fuel

Think of your body like a super-fast race car. What does a car need to go? Fuel! Food is the fuel for your body. It gives you the power to run, jump, learn at school, and play with your friends.
2

Build a Power Plate

A great way to get all the fuel you need is to make a balanced plate. Try filling half your plate with colorful fruits and veggies. Then, fill one quarter with protein foods like chicken, fish, or beans, and the last quarter with whole grains like brown rice or whole-wheat bread.
3

Listen to Your Body

Instead of thinking about numbers, let's think about feelings. How does your body feel after you eat? When you eat a balanced meal, you might notice you have more energy to play and can focus better. That's your body telling you it got the right fuel!
