Indicativo vs. Subjuntivo: La Cláusula Principal
Main Clause (Indicative) + 'que' + Dependent Clause (Subjunctive)
The subjunctive is often 'triggered' by the verb or expression in the main clause. Use the WEIRDO acronym to remember triggers: Wishes (Quiero que...), Emotions (Me alegro de que...), Impersonal expressions (Es importante que...), Recommendations (Recomiendo que...), Doubt/Denial (Dudo que...), Ojalá (Ojalá que...).
