Demonstrative Adjectives & Pronouns Este/a/os/as (this/these, close to speaker). Ese/a/os/as (that/those, close to listener). Aquel/la/los/las (that/those, far from both). Use these to point out specific items. The adjective must agree in gender and number with the noun it describes (e.g., 'esta camisa'). The pronoun replaces the noun (e.g., 'quiero ésa').
