Forming Regular Affirmative Tú Commands Use the 3rd person singular (él/ella/usted) form of the present indicative tense. This is the simplest way to form a command telling a friend to do something. For 'hablar', the él form is 'habla', which is the command. For 'comer', it's 'come'. For 'escribir', it's 'escribe'. Forming All Negative Tú Commands No + [tú form of the present subjunctive] To tell a friend NOT to do something, always use the present subjunctive. To form it: 1) Start with the 'yo' form of the present indicative (e.g., 'tengo'). 2) Drop the '-o' (e.g., 'teng-'). 3) Add the opposite 'tú' ending: '-es' for -ar verbs and '-as'...
