Subjunctive with Verbs of Influence
Verb of Influence (indicative) + 'que' + Different Subject + Verb (subjunctive)
When you want to influence someone's actions using verbs like 'sugerir' (to suggest), 'recomendar' (to recommend), 'querer' (to want), or 'insistir en' (to insist on), the verb that follows 'que' must be in the subjunctive mood. The subjects of the two clauses must be different.
Nosotros Commands for Suggestions
Use the 'nosotros' form of the present subjunctive to mean 'Let's...'
This is a common and slightly more inclusive way to make a suggestion. For -ar verbs, it ends in -emos. For -er/-ir verbs, it ends in -amos. For example, '¡Hablemos!' (Let's talk!)...
