Conjugación del Imperfecto (Verbos Regulares)
For -AR verbs, remove -AR and add -aba, -abas, -aba, -ábamos, -abais, -aban. For -ER/-IR verbs, remove -ER/-IR and add -ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -íais, -ían.
Use these endings to form the imperfect tense for most regular verbs. Remember the accent mark on the 'i' for -ER/-IR verbs.
Verbos Irregulares en el Imperfecto
Only three verbs are irregular in the imperfect: ir (iba, ibas, iba, íbamos, ibais, iban), ser (era, eras, era, éramos, erais, eran), and ver (veía, veías, veía, veíamos, veíais, veían).
These three verbs follow unique patterns in the imperfect tense and must be memorized. All other verbs are regular.
