The '¿Qué?' Rule: For Things Only ¿Qué? + verbo + ... ? Use '¿Qué?' when your question is about an object, a food, an idea, or an action. It is never used to ask about a person. The '¿Quién?' Rule: For One Person ¿Quién? + verbo + ... ? Use '¿Quién?' when your question is about identifying a single person. The answer will be one person's name or title. The '¿Quiénes?' Rule: For Many People ¿Quiénes? + verbo (en plural) + ... ? Use '¿Quiénes?' when your question is about identifying two or more people. The verb and the answer will also be plural.
