Present Tense of -AR Verbs: Jugar (To Play)
Yo juego (I play), Tú juegas (You play), Él/Ella juega (He/She plays)
To say who is playing, we change the ending of the verb 'jugar'. The 'o' ending is for 'yo', the 'as' ending is for 'tú', and the 'a' ending is for 'él' or 'ella'.
Adjective Agreement: Gender (Masculine & Feminine)
Masculine Noun (el) + Adjective ending in -o. Feminine Noun (la) + Adjective ending in -a.
In Spanish, describing words (adjectives) must match the gender of the toy they are describing. If the toy is 'el' (masculine), the adjective usually ends in 'o'. If the toy is 'la' (feminine), the adjective usually ends in 'a'.
