Grammar Rules & Patterns

Using 'Yo veo...' (I see...) Yo veo + un/una + [object] Use this pattern to say what you see. 'Yo' means 'I' and 'veo' means 'see'. Boy & Girl Words (El y La) 'El' is for boy words (el árbol, el perro). 'La' is for girl words (la flor, la pelota). In Spanish, all objects are 'boys' or 'girls'. We use 'el' or 'la' to say 'the'. Describing with Colors [Object] + es + [color] To say what color something is, you say the object first, then 'es' (is), then the color.
