Using 'Hay' (There is/are) Hay + un/una + [object] Use 'Hay' to say that something exists in a place. It's super easy because it never changes! 'Hay un' is for masculine words (un libro) and 'Hay una' is for feminine words (una mesa). Using 'Está en' (Is in) [Object] + está en + el/la + [room] Use 'está en' to tell the location of a specific thing.
