Me gusta + el/la + [the thing you like]
To say you like one thing, always start with 'Me gusta'. Then add 'el' or 'la' and the name of the thing.
The 'the' words: el and la
Use 'el' for boy words. Use 'la' for girl words.
In Spanish, words are like boys or girls. 'El' goes with boy words like 'plátano'. 'La' goes with girl words like 'manzana'.
