Grammar Rules & Patterns

Saying 'I like' Me gusta + el/la + [food name] Use 'Me gusta' to say you like one thing. It means 'It is pleasing to me.' Saying 'I don't like' No me gusta + el/la + [food name] Put 'No' in front of 'me gusta' to say you don't like something. The 'Boy' and 'Girl' Words (El/La) Use 'el' for boy words. Use 'la' for girl words. In Spanish, all things are 'boys' or 'girls'. We use 'el' or 'la' to say 'the'.
