Core Formulas
Reading Minutes on an Analog Clock
`Minutes = (Number on dial) \times 5`
To find the minutes when the minute hand points directly at a number on the clock face, multiply that number by 5. For positions between numbers, count each small mark as one minute.
Converting 12-Hour PM to 24-Hour Format
`24-Hour Time = 12-Hour Time + 12 \text{ (for PM hours, except 12 PM which is 12:00)}`
To convert a time from 12-hour PM to 24-hour format, add 12 to the hour. For example, 1 PM becomes 13:00. Note that 12 PM (noon) remains 12:00.
Converting 24-Hour (>=13:00) to 12-Hour PM Format
`12-Hour Time = 24-Hour Time - 12 \text{ (for hours } \ge 13:00 \text{, then add PM)}`
To convert a time from 24-hour format (where the hour is 13 or greater) to 12-hour PM, subtract 12 from the ho...
