Core Formulas

Big Unit to Small Unit (Number of Large Units) \times (Conversion Factor) + (Remaining Small Units) When you convert from a larger unit (like feet) to a smaller unit (like inches), you multiply. Then, add any extra small units you already had. Small Unit to Big Unit (Total Small Units) \div (Conversion Factor) = (Number of Large Units) with a Remainder When you convert from a smaller unit (like ounces) to a larger unit (like pounds), you divide. The whole number part of your answer is the large unit, and the remainder is the leftover small units.
