Core Formulas

Days in a Week 1 \text{ week} = 7 \text{ days} This is always true. To find the date one week after today, you can count forward 7 days. Finding the Date a Week Later \text{Date} + 7 \text{ days} = \text{Same day of the week, next week} If today is Tuesday the 5th, the next Tuesday will be the 12th (5 + 7 = 12). On a calendar, this means looking directly down to the number in the next row. Finding the Date a Week Earlier \text{Date} - 7 \text{ days} = \text{Same day of the week, last week} If today is Friday the 20th, last Friday was the 13th (20 - 7 = 13). On a calendar, this means looking directly up to the number in the row above.
