The Flip-Flop Rule (Commutative Property)
a + b = b + a
You can add numbers in any order. The sum will be the same! 3 + 4 is the same as 4 + 3.
The Adding Zero Rule (Identity Property)
a + 0 = a
When you add zero to any number, the number stays the same. It's like adding nothing! 8 + 0 is still 8.
