Core Formulas
The Big Ten Rule
1 \text{ ten} = 10 \text{ ones}
Use this rule to trade ones for a ten. If you have 10 single blocks, you can trade them for 1 ten-rod.
The Unbundle Rule
10 \text{ ones} = 1 \text{ ten}
Use this rule to trade a ten for ones. If you need more single blocks, you can break a ten-rod into 10 single blocks.
Building Numbers Rule
\text{Number} = \text{Value of Tens} + \text{Value of Ones}
To find the total, add the value of the tens part and the ones part. For 2 tens and 3 ones, it's 20 + 3 = 23.
